Organic Chemistry Online

The purpose of the site is to provide additional resources for students of organic chemistry at the introductory level i.e. high school and beginning college students.

The main focus is to visually illustrate some concepts in organic chemistry through the use of 3D molecular models. These have been created using Macromedia Director and you need the Shockwave plugin to enable you view the movie. If you do not have the plugin, you need to download now before you proceed.

Notes on the salient topics of organic chemistry have been provided, as well as links to other external resources pertinent to introductory organic chemistry.

The resources of this site are meant to be used alongside classroom activities. However students are encouraged to browse the site as well as the links provided and also participate in online question and answer sessions so as to augment their knowledge in organic chemistry.

This site is designed, developed and maintained by Stephen Asunka, previously a lecturer in organic chemistry at the University of Ghana, and presently pursuing graduate studies in Instructional Technology and Media at Teachers College, Columbia University.
